Safety
Even the most simple plastic injection moulding is technically demanding when it is a Safety item.
Many of the products that we manufacture have to conform to strict internationally recognised standards. eg EN397 for Safety Helmets and the ATEX Directive for torches certified to the IECEx Scheme, for use in mining applications as well as zones 0, 1 and 2 potentially explosive gas, vapour, mist and dust atmospheres.
Are all critical to consider at the concept stage
At MG Stuma we are keen to be involved in a new project right from the start. We will work with your design team to ensure that injection moulding capabilities and product performance characteristics are developed side-by-side, so that quality and reliability is built in from the outset. If you don’t have a design team then we can provide one.
All products are tested during product development to ensure adherence to functional specification. Impact testing at low and high temperature, for example, is one of the many requirements in the manufacture of safety helmets.
